SF Roots Forest School: Nature-Based Learning for Young Children

At SF Roots Forest School, our mission is to root children in the wonder of the natural world. We create a safe, nurturing, and supportive space where young explorers are encouraged to follow their curiosity, form meaningful connections with one another, and develop a deep sense of care for the living world around them.

Through the freedom of the outdoors—running, climbing, imagining, wondering, and discovering—children grow strong in body, confident in spirit, and grounded in a sense of belonging. We believe that when children are given the time, space, and freedom to explore nature, they develop not only a love for the world around them, but also a growing understanding of who they are within it.
